As part of the Digital Freedom Festival, the Investor Day will be held at the Hanzas Perons centre on 15 November, where representatives of corporations and start-ups will have the opportunity to meet investors and take part in various competitions. Supporting the development of environmentally friendly technological solutions, JSC “Latvia's State Forests” (LVM), in cooperation with the EIT Climate-KIC accelerator, will organize a start-up pitch competition for companies that have chosen green technologies for their business development.

“Latvia's state forests are a place where nature meets smart technologies every day. Each seedling planted in the forest is selected with high technologies, protected against insects with environmentally friendly technologies and placed in the forest with geo-spatial information technologies. Nature friendly technologies are the ones that will enable us to make housing, heating, food and clothing and create jobs sustainably from ground, forests and water. The drone fleet, logistics optimization, geospatial solutions, image analysis, chipping, robotization are all tools not only for smart land and forest management, but also for the development of all our business lines,” says Ilga Bērzkalna, LVM Development Manager.
