Tender for Social Projects is Now Open for Application

Public benefit associations and foundations are invited to register social projects for the receipt of a donation granted by JSC "Latvia's State Forests" (LVM). This is the last day to apply for the informative seminar on the project tender to be held in Riga, on 13 January. Project proposals may be submitted until 30 January 2017.

Priority areas of the project tender

• Assistance to children and adults with special needs
• Assistance to socially vulnerable groups
• Support to retirement age people to help them lead dignified and active life
• Support for integration of specific groups of the society

Informative seminar

An informative seminar on the preparation of project proposals will be held in Riga, on 13 January 2017. (by 11 January 2017), specifying in the subject line "Application for the seminar on LVM donation"; in the body of the letter please indicate the name of the organisation, the number of participants, as well as contact details. The venue and time of the seminar will be announced after the closing of the application.

Filing of a project application

Please send a completed application and financial form for the receipt of the LVM donation in accordance with the regulation of the tender for social projects to the e-mail address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 30 January 2017 (inclusive). In the subject line, please, specify "Application form for the receipt of LVM donation", and in the body of the letter indicate the name of the organisation and contact details of the person responsible for the project.

Evaluation criteria and other additional information are available on the website of the foundation "Ziedot.lv" www.ziedot.lv.

The project proposals will be assessed and the results will be announced by 1 March 2017.

JSC "Latvia's State Forests" donations to the social sector

Since 2012, JSC "Latvia's State Forests" has entrusted management of the company's donations to the social sector to three charity organisations: "Ziedot.lv", "Latvia Children's Fund" and "Samaritan Association of Latvia". These organisations administer the donations and by means of a tender procedure allocate the funds to social organisations.

The procedure, how JSC "Latvia's State Forests" grants donations to the social sector, is laid down in the letter of intent signed on 12 December 2011 and the annual donation agreements entered into between the company and the Partners (foundation "Ziedot", foundation "Latvian Children's Fund" and association "Samaritan Association of Latvia").
