Summer nights captured in the new Mother Nature magazine

MD zurnals

The new edition of the Mother Nature (Mammdaba) magazine "On a Summer Night" has been released right in the swirl of summer scents and different shades of green. This time it offers its readers the opportunity to indulge in the magic of a summer night by heading for an adventure to the recreation facilities managed by JSC "Latvia's State Forests" (LVM) - also during the dark hours of the day.

For those readers who are tempted by the unknown and unexplained, there will be a story about the mysterious White Lady of LVM Jaunmokas Palace, who lives in the hallways of the palace still awaiting the return of her beloved. She also reveals secrets about underground passageways that have been hidden from the passers-by for over a century.

In turn, other "underground passageways" appear quite unexpectedly, since the land, especially in Skaistkalne region tends to simply disappear from beneath your feet - this is the place where to see the sinkholes. Taking a stroll between the centenarian pine trees, it is easy to imagine what Īle Partisan Bunker has to tell about the tragic events experienced after World War II.

The stones of LVM Pokaiņi Forest keep very special and powerful energy, best to be told about by the inhabitants of the Forest - Mežainīte and Ugunsvīrs (Fire Man). They will be happy to share their knowledge about trees and flowers, but to learn about the power of healing herbs it is best to talk to Mother Forest herself.

In turn, Māris Olte reminds the readers that Latvians have always been inseparable from the forest and nature, and this is the place where to search for your spirit and inspiration. The nature enthusiast also gives some useful tips that will help to avoid unpleasant surprises when in nature.

Summer nights are filled with special vibes and emotions, therefore all the friends of nature are encouraged to use all of their senses to enjoy a real, unforgettable adventure!

Already for the eighth year JSC "Latvia's State Forests" issues the Mother Nature magazine, telling its readers about the major recreation facilities, managed by LVM, about nature trails, marsh footbridges, towers, caves, lakes, trees, and other treasures to be found in the forest.
