Visitors flock to Tērvete Nature Park for season-closing event

October 12-13, residents flocked to Tērvete Nature Park to say 'so long for now' to the Fairy Tale Forest (Pasaku mežs) and its inhabitants, as it – they, go into their winter slumber. Sunny and warm weather conditions were also a factor as the park welcomed 8,700 visitors during the two days. The folk dance group “Diždancis” staged a performance with the fairy tale characters on the Playground’s open-air stage. The park’s pine treetops resounded with songs performed by the “KPTT” youth ensemble. The lovely Little Witch had a warm welcome for everyone in the Pine Forest, the Princess gave visitors the opportunity to try on her golden slippers and crown in the Courtyard of the Forest King, while the Miser collected the “sleep” brought by visitors for the winter slumber. All could also visit the Dwarfs’ Father and Mother in the Village of Dwarfs to take a look at their cradles and find out many interesting things about them.
The magic of autumn colours in forests and nature continues, and we invite you to enjoy it in Tērvete Nature Park!
