JSC ”LATVIAN STATE FORESTS” IN COMPARISON TO EUROPEAN COMPANIES

Research on JSC “Latvian State Forests” has been done in which the company has been compared with several European state wood management companies:

 RMK, Estonia

Metsahallitus, Finland

Coillte, Ireland

Sveaskog, Sweden

ÖBF, Austria

In the research not only the absolute evaluation of the companies’ turnover and profit (gross income) indicators are presented, also their relative indicators against the wood land they manage, wood cut on the managed land and their employees. It must be noted that in comparison to other European companies LSF look consistently respectable.
