MATINEE CARTOON SHOWS MAMMADABA MULTI RĪTI TO BE HELD IN CINEMA RĪGA

Starting from September, cinema Rīga will offer monthly morning cartoon shows Mammadaba Multi Rīti, allowing children (aged 5-10) to enjoy specially selected animated cartoon programmes about nature, animals and adventures happening in the forest.

Before each cartoon show, an intriguing guest speaker will greet the audience and tell stories about wild-life. The first Mammadaba Multi Rīti show will feature the public premiere of the cartoon about the adventures of a Latvian bear on Ruhnu Island “Here Comes the Bear!”, and Cūkmens (Pigman) will be an invited guest making appearance the show.

In the future, Mammadaba Multi Rīti shows will also feature foreign animated cartoons about adventures in the forests of other countries, and the invited guests will include a representative of the Zoo, a forest ranger and a fairy-tale dwarf from Tērvete park. Over this year, shows will be held once a month on Saturdays: 27 September, 25 October, 29 November and 27 December.

“I am sure that there exists a close connection between culture, such as a good movie about wild-life, and the way children behave in the forest afterwards”, Roberts Strīpnieks, Chairman of the Board of LVM, believes.
