The congress started and ended in Riga - capital city of Latvia. The first evening of July 1st was celebrated on coast of the Baltic sea. Teachers from Latvia joined the programme activities on July 2nd in Riga Technical University. On July 3rd there was a day trip to LVM Nature park in Tērvete  for all congress participants. 

MONDAY, JULY 1st

 

Arrival in Riga Islande Hotel, registration. Lots of possibilities for sightseeing: Ķīpsala beach promenade, Riga Old town, Riga center – Freedom Monument etc.

Short trip by organized buses from Riga Islande Hotel to Jūrmala Open air museum

18.00 – 21.30

Welcome dinner near the Baltic beach hosted by JSC “Latvia’s State Forests”

'Ice-breaking" activities at the fisherman’s homestead, swimming in the Baltic sea for daredevils

21.30 – 22.00
