Highly valuing the need for professional development and growth opportunities for employees, JSC “Latvia’s State Forests” (LVM) and Ogre Technical School call on professionals to apply for the study programme “Forest Regeneration, Tending and Protection of Restored Areas”.

Within the framework of the professional development education programme, those interested have an opportunity to gain a broader insight into the basics of forestry, such as reforestation, tending of young forest stands, protection of restored forest areas and other forestry processes. The curriculum can be acquired in extramural and two full-time classes at Ogre Technical School.

“We need knowledgeable employees in the forest who are able to make decisions and take responsibility independently. Therefore, we offer our long-term service providers special co-operation rules according to the acquired training, which will facilitate successful and mutually beneficial long-term cooperation,” says Lauris Ropājs, LVM Forestry Quality Manager.

Responding to the wish of LVM co-operation partners to master this programme, face-to-face and practical classes are also held in LVM regions - closer to the service providers’ workplace. At the end of the training programme, each co-operation partner will receive a financial bonus in the contracts concluded within the LVM main tender.
