The annual Latvian Top Brands Awards Ceremony took place in the music house "Daile" on 3 October, and JSC "Latvia's State Forests" (LVM) is proud to be awarded in two categories - the greenest and the most humane company.

The greenest brand nomination is based on public perceptions of "greenliness" or environmental friendliness of the nominated brands. JSC "Latvia's State Forests" was announced the winner in the category "Top of the Greenest Brands", followed by the international company "Tesla", and the local brand "Seal", which ranked third. JSC "Latvia's State Forests" also received the award as the most humane or socially responsible brand, leaving JSC "Swedbank" and JSC "Latvijas Mobilais telefons" behind.

The Brand Top was created in 2004 and it serves as a point of reference for reflecting consumer attitudes. This year, companies were rewarded in six categories: the most beloved brands, the greenest brands, the most influential brands in social networks, the most humane brands, the start-up top, as well as the specially created influencers’ top.

Since its foundation in 1999, Joint Stock Company "Latvia’s State Forests" implementing sustainable forest management has paid one billion euros to state and local government budgets. LVM's economic activities are carried out by maintaining and recovering forests, taking care of nature conservation, recreation opportunities and increasing timber volumes, as well as investing in expanding the forest land and developing forest infrastructure - renovation of drainage systems and forest road construction. The volume of timber in the forests managed by LVM increases by 12 million cubic metres annually.
