Latvijas Valsts Meži Receives Forestry Sector’s Annual Award Zelta Čiekurs in the Category For Innovative Entrepreneurship

On 1^st February, Artis Kampars, Minister for Economics, presented the forestry sector’s annual award Zelta Čiekurs (Golden Cone) in the category For Innovative Entrepreneurship to Roberts Strīpnieks, Chairman of Board at JSC “Latvijas valsts meži”. The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Agriculture. The honorary awards in the same category went to SIA “Eibe L” and SIA “Vika Wood”.

Roberts Strīpnieks expresses his satisfaction with the received award: “When starting its operations ten years ago, the company adopted the following strategic framework: He who changes, survives and develops. Our understanding of innovation involves not only innovative solutions in logging, timber logistics, computer systems support and plant production, but also introduction of innovative business management, planning and problem-solving. This Zelta Čiekurs award is the achievement of the whole team. It is a prize that encourages continuation of the company’s dynamic development and active participation in the growth of the whole sector.”

The ceremony of presenting the forestry sector’s annual award Zelta Čiekurs was held for the sixth year and has already become a tradition.
