Joint Stock Company “Latvia’s State Forests” (LVM) annual report 2013 Structural Unit Real Estate deals with property rights and legal protection of the controlled and owned lands, as well as buys property from physical and legal persons to increase the forest land area owned by the state, and to improve the management efficiency of the state forest lands.

LVM Real Estate also deals with property rental, mainly in regard to lands not used for forest management activities. Everyone profits in this way – we, as landlords, gain access to clean and managed territories, while the tenants – the opprtunity to earn additional income and acquire experience in developing the existing or implementing completely new business trends. An example: in agriculture (including perennial plantations (cultivated berries)), water management, recreation, acquisition of mineral deposits (turf, sapropel, construction supplies), etc.
