Cūkmens (Pigman), a dedicated advocate of clean forests, has entered his song in the national selection round of the Eurovision Song Contest.
With his song Antidraza (Antirubbish) he wants to draw attention to the increasingly topical issue of waste and to encourage people from Latvia, as well as from whole Europe to care for nature and not to litter in the forest. “I often get sad when I walk through the forest and see litter, rubbish and plastic bottles all around. To cheer myself up at such moments, I hum different tunes. This is how the idea of expressing my green thoughts in a song occurred to me. I am confident that my song will help people get a better insight into how much power lies in clean forests,” says Cūkmens.
