Latvijas Valsts Meži in cooperation with Forest Development Fund had presented the guide called “Learn the Forest” to Latvian schools which will help the elementary school teachers who wish to stimulate their pupil’s contact with the forest and the environment.
“Learn the Forest” guide is the first educational material of such kind for Latvian schools. It will help natural science, art, social science, sports and other teachers using the forest and questions relative to it as a reference source. The guide covers three dimensions: an environmental, an economic and a social one. Therefore this book will serve as support for teachers in implementing the sustainable development of education.
