The Public Part of the Forest Management Plan has been Approved

Implementing sustainable and responsible forest management, JSC “Latvia's State Forests” (LVM) plans its forest management activities respecting and balancing forestry, recreation and environmental requirements. At the beginning of June, the public part of the Forest Management Plan was approved as a summary of proposals submitted by stakeholders.

In the updated public section of the LVM Forest Management Plan, interested parties can obtain information on the planned forest management in the territory managed by LVM.

The LVM forest management planning is based on extensive, ongoing inventory of forest resources and environmental values, their analysis and long-term management.

The public part of forest management is updated at least once every 5 years or whenever the scope of forest management, the basic principles of forest management or the provisions of laws regulating forest management change significantly.
