| Memorials of the historical Christmas battles of 1916 have been preserved here German and Russian trenches, memorial stones at the place from which Latvian riflemen attacked, memorial signs at the places where Latvians broke through the lines, the Cemetery of the Brethren, and a monument to Latvian riflemen on Ložmetējkalns (Machine Gun Hill). An affiliate of the War Museum is located here. Information maps can be found at the five-road crossroads (39/40/50/51) and at the Ilgas homestead (private property between 60 and 72). There are rest facilities with tables, benches, and campfire locations. There is a viewing platform on Ložmetējkalns. |
