Mammadaba Cartoon Morning screening will be held on Saturday, May 19, at 12 noon in the Splendid Palace cinema.
“My Little Planet” (Ma petite planète chérie) is a 2010 animated film directed by Jacques-Rémy Girerd about children who look at the world, nature and animals as a miracle. This wonderment makes them ask many questions and find out many things. The film was written and animated by consulting with geologists, botanists, ecologists and other specialists, making its story not only exciting, but also informative. The creators of “My Little Planet” regard their film as a reasonable, enthusiastic and responsible person. The film will be screened with support from the French Institute in Latvia.
Before the screening, all children will be able to meet with Pigman and jointly draw their own clean forests. Pigman will tell the little visitors what happens when people begin to pollute nature. The children will also be able to awaken the beasts within at a face painting workshop.
The Mammadaba Cartoon Mornings are a series of animated films for children about nature and the miracles happening all around us. Our goal is to let children themselves notice and realise that it is necessary to take care of nature. Mother Nature is good and generous, it is all around us, it cares for us – and we should respond by doing the same.
Tickets cost LVL 2 for adults, LVL 1.50 for children (children under 6 who sit in their parent’s lap may come for free).
Screening duration: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
